The RAJE Heritage Fellowship is designed to help you explore your Jewish identity and develop a personal connection with your heritage.
The program will feature two main tracks of study, with multiple levels ranging from beginner
(no prior knowledge of Hebrew) to advanced:
The Talmud track: The Talmud encompasses a vast array of Jewish knowledge. All manner of knowledge: rational thought, business acumen, ethics, morality, history, mysticism and tradition are contained in its many volumes. Throughout the centuries Talmudic scholarship has been the secret key to success for countless Jewish leaders and layman in both their professional life and spiritual growth. The goal of the Talmudic track is to give students a comprehensive background in Talmudic study unlocking this treasured key to Jewish life and personal growth.
The Tanach track: The study of Tanach has served as the ultimate source of Jewish knowledge and inspiration for Jews throughout the centuries. The wide range of wisdom contained within its hallowed pages include: history, tradition, mysticism and time tested lessons for personal growth. The goal of the Tanach track is to give students a solid background in the primary source book of the Jewish people.
Elective courses will include:
- Judaism A-Z: Each session includes a comprehensive survey of a topic in Jewish life or thought.
- Adventures in Jewish law and tradition: a hands on exploration of practical Judaism
- Hebrew language
The program involves two Shabbat seminars. These weekend retreats feature presentations by renowned Jewish educators, interactive workshops and exciting social programs.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants are eligible for a highly subsidized educational trip.
